「あれ？こんなお店あったっけ？」馴染みのエリアから少し足を伸ばせば、そこには私の知らない‘TOKYO’がたくさん。そんなまだ見ぬ‘TOKYO’との出会いを求めて、お散歩へ出かけました。
“Oh...I never knew there was a place like this!”
If I go a little farther from my favorite areas, there is so much more ‘TOKYO’ that I haven’t yet found. So, I go out in search of new discoveries.
三軒茶屋の栄通りを歩いていると、何やら可愛いお店を発見。黄色の壁には丸っこい窓や木のドアがはめられ、メルヘンチックな佇まいです。
If you walk along Sakae Street in Sangenjyaya, you come across a cute shop. With its rounded windows and wooden door against a yellow wall, the shop looks like something out of a fairytale.
中へ入ると、箱がずらり。このお店は、箱単位で作家さんにスペースを借す“レンタルボックス”という形式のセレクトショップ&カフェ。主に雑貨やアクセサリーを扱っています。
Boxes line the interior walls. This special select shop and cafe rents out small boxes to artists looking to sell their work. They primarily carry knick-knacks and accessories.
お店には厳しい審査を通過した140名以上の作家さんの雑貨やアクセサリーが並んでいます。なんとスペース待ちの作家さんは現在80名超えという人気っぷり！
The 140 artists currently occupying the rental boxes must first pass a strict check of their items. With a waiting list of over 80 people, the shop is quite popular.
私はこの日、作家・sachiさんのピアスを買いました。耳元で小鳥が揺れるデザインに一目惚れしちゃった！
I bought these earrings from an artist named “sachi”. I instantly fell in love with the design and the idea of small birds swaying gently around my ears.
どれどれ？ 鏡でアクセサリーをつけた感じをチェック。どれも可愛くて目移りしちゃう！
Let me see... I take a look at the earrings in the mirror. Everything is so cute, it's difficult to choose.
窓際はカフェスペース。まぐろアボカド丼やジャージャー麺など本格的なランチはご近所でも評判の味。
There is a small cafe space near the window. Authentically tasting lunch items such as tuna avocado with rice and Chinese noodles are popular among the locals.
お店で手作りしたベイクドチーズケーキは絶品。レモンの酸味が効いていて、後味さっぱり。オーダーメイドした瀬戸焼のお皿やカップも素敵！
Homemade baked cheese cake is their masterpiece. The sour taste of lemon leaves a fresh aftertaste. The order-made Setoyaki tableware is also brilliant.
