「あれ？こんなお店あったっけ？」馴染みのエリアから少し足を伸ばせば、そこには私の知らないTOKYOがたくさん。そんなまだ見ぬTOKYOとの出会いを求めて、お散歩へ出かけました。

If I go a little farther from my favorite areas, there is so much more TOKYO that I haven’t yet found. So, I go out in search of new discoveries.

中目黒にあるファラフェルスタンド〈Ballon〉へ。いま人気のヴィーガンフード（完全菜食）のお店です。「野菜オンリーは物足りない」という人にこそ、食べてほしい！だって肉食の私がハマってしまうほど美味しいんだから。

I visited the falafel stand 'Ballon' in Nakameguro. This shop is famous for vegan foods. For the people who think eating vegetables only is not enough, you should try it! Even though I eat meat, falafel is so delicious that I am addicted to it.

お店を手がけるのは、レシピ本シリーズ「作ってあげたい彼ごはん」の著者としても有名な料理家のSHIORIさん。肉も魚もガッツリの男子が喜ぶ料理本の著者がつくる100%ヴィーガン料理は一味違う。

Accomplished cook book author and chef SHIORI designed the menu. The cook book she wrote is for women who want to make dishes with meat and fish for their boyfriends.

こちらがファラフェルサンド。7種の野菜とファラフェルをふわふわのピタパンにサンドし、2種の自家製ソースを添えて。野菜はナス、舞茸、ニンジン、トマト、紫キャベツなど。

Here it is! They use 7 kinds of vegetables (eggplant, maitake mushroom, carrot, tomato, red cabbage and more) with 2 kinds of handmade sauces in a fluffy pita.

ファラフェルは中東発祥のひよこ豆のコロッケのこと。もちろん動物性のものは使用しません。外はカリカリ、中はほっくり。スパイシーなファラフェルが病みつきに！

Falafel is kind of like a chickpea croquette from the Middle East. It doesn't contain animal products. The outside is crispy but the inside is soft and flaky. It's addictive!

店内にはちょっとしたイートインスペースも。ヴィーガンとは思えないほどのボリュームと満足感！美容に気遣うモデルや美容家さんにも人気です。

They also have an eat-in space. It's filling, so it's popular among models and other people in the beauty industry.

デザートには豆乳のヴィーガンソフトクリームを。ラズベリーソースやヴィーガンキャラメルソース、グルテンフリーグラノーラなど9種類のトッピングを自由にカスタマイズできます。私のお気に入りはほんのり塩っぱいピスタチオソルトクランブル。

For dessert, they have soy vegan soft serve. You can customize yours with nine toppings including raspberry sauce, vegan caramel sauce, and gluten free granola. My favorite is pistachio & salt crumble.
