「あれ？こんなお店あったっけ？」馴染みのエリアから少し足を伸ばせば、そこには私の知らないTOKYOがたくさん。そんなまだ見ぬTOKYOとの出会いを求めて、お散歩へ出かけました。
“Oh...I never knew there was a place like this!”
If I go a little farther from my favorite areas, there is so much more TOKYO that I haven’t yet found. So, I go out in search of new discoveries.
いろいろ撮ってはいるものの、なかなか現像する機会ってないなぁ。ということで、今日はカメラの現像をするためにカメラ屋さんへやってきました。
I often take photos but I seldom have the chance to develop them. So today, I visited Popeye Camera to do just that.
カメラ屋さんへ来たのは、たぶん中学生のとき以来。このお店には、現像したあとの写真を飾るスクラップ用のグッズもたくさん売られています。
I haven't visited a photo lab since I was a junior high student. This shop has a lot of stuff for making and decorating scrapbooks.
手作りフォトアルバムの見本を発見。こんな手の込んだプレゼントもらったら、きっと最高に嬉しいだろうなぁ。
I found a sample for handmade photo albums. If I got something like this as a present, I'd be over the moon!
マスキングテープもこんなにバラエティ豊か。ステッカーやスタンプもたくさんあって見ているだけでも楽しい気分。
They also carry a large variety of masking tape. The stickers and stamps are fun to look at too.
フィルムカメラやフィルムの販売も。もう製造中止になった幻のフィルムを求めて、カメラ愛好家が遠くからやってくることも少なくないみたい。
They also sell film cameras and film, including discontinued ones. So, people come from all over to get their hands on them.
お店がオリジナルでつくったストラップやカメラバッグも人気。可愛さだけじゃなく、カメラ屋さんだからこそ作れる機能的なアイテムなんです。
The shop designs and makes their own original straps and bags. They are not only cute, but also functional.
さすが自由が丘で80年以上続く老舗のお店ですね。最後にお店の皆さんとパチリ。また来ま〜す！
Now I understand why they have stayed in business for over 80 years. Before leaving, I took a photo with the staff. I will definitely be back!
