「あれ？こんなお店あったっけ？」馴染みのエリアから少し足を伸ばせば、そこには私の知らないTOKYOがたくさん。そんなまだ見ぬTOKYOとの出会いを求めて、お散歩へ出かけました。

If I go a little farther from my favorite areas, there is so much more TOKYO that I haven’t yet found. So, I go out in search of new discoveries.

世界中からセレクトした上質な綿や麻の生地を使用し、日本の職人さんが手仕事で仕上げるハンカチの専門店〈H TOKYO〉。お世話になっているあの人へ、贈り物を探しにやってきました。

I visited a handkerchief shop 'H TOKYO' to buy a gift for a good friend. They use materials like cotton and silk which are carefully selected from around the world.

1つのデザインにつき、作るハンカチの枚数は50前後のものがほとんど。次に来た時にはもうなくなっているかも？と思うとますます欲しくなっちゃいます。

Most of the time, they only make around 50 of each design. Since they may be gone the next time I come, that makes me want them more.

上司や恋人への贈り物にする人も多いそう。甘いものが苦手な彼へのバレンタインギフトにもぴったり。いつもお茶目なあの人に、こんな一枚もあり？

There are many people who send them to a work colleague or their partner. It is the perfect Valentine's Day gift for a boyfriend who doesn't eat sweets. Don't you think this could be good for a kind, playful person?

イニシャルやメッセージを刺繍で入れてくれるサービス（300円〜）も。フランス語のポエムを入れたハンカチで、プロポーズした人もいたんだって。ロマンチック！

They can embroider initials or messages on them. One person even proposed with a handkerchief embroidered with a French poem. How romantic!

中にはハンドロールといって、縁取りが一枚一枚手巻きで縫われているハンカチも。手の込んだものだと、熟練の職人さんでも一時間で縫えるのは数枚程度なんだって。何気ないハンカチの縁にも職人魂が宿っています。

The bordering of some special pieces is sewn by hand. Even for a skilled craft worker, it can take one hour just to make a few pieces. You can feel their craftsmanship from such details.

個性豊かなワッペンは50種類以上（1枚400〜円）。右上のプロレスラーのマスク、なんとも言えないゆるさが可愛い！お店に並んでいるもの以外にも、お願いすれば出してくれるよ。

There are more than 50 various patches. My favorites are the charming masks of pro wrestlers. The staff can show you many others, if you ask them.

三軒茶屋の本店以外に都内では、〈KITTE丸の内〉、〈PARCO_ya上野〉、〈日本橋高島屋S.C.〉などに出店しているよ。それぞれお店によって少しずつラインナップが違うので注目してみてね。
