「あれ？こんなお店あったっけ？」馴染みのエリアから少し足を伸ばせば、そこには私の知らないTOKYOがたくさん。そんなまだ見ぬTOKYOとの出会いを求めて、お散歩へ出かけました。

If I go a little farther from my favorite areas, there is so much more TOKYO that I haven’t yet found. So, I go out in search of new discoveries.

縁日の子供のおやつだったかき氷も、今では並んで食べに行くスイーツにまで出世。その火付け役となった、首都圏初のかき氷専門店へ行ってきたよ。

At first shaved ice was just for kids at festivals, but now people of all ages line up to have it. Today I visited the first shave ice specialty shop in the Tokyo area.

天然氷の美味しさに感動した店主が2003年にオープン。整理券を配っているから、指定された時間にまたお店へ戻れば、すぐに席に通してもらえるシステム。炎天下の夏に何時間も並ばなくてもいいのは助かる！

The owner opened his shop in 2003 after being moved when he tasted how delicious natural ice was. To prevent people from waiting outside in the hot sun, the shop hands out tickets with an appointed time.

「埜庵」の売りは、季節のフルーツを使った四季折々の天然かき氷。もちろん全て手作り。手書きのイラスト付きメニューがかわいい！パイナップル、白桃、メロン…どれにしようかな？

The shop is known for its seasonal fruit-flavored ice. Everything, including the menu, is handmade. Flavors include pineapple, peach, melon...Which one should I choose?

珍しいので「白ぶどう」にトライ。上にかかった白ブドウジュレがあっさりしていて美味しい！アルコール含みますと書いてあったけど、ほとんどお酒を感じないのでお酒が苦手な人でも大丈夫そう。

I chose white grape because I don't see it often. The jelly on top is light and delicious! I was told the jelly contains alcohol but it is not very strong, so even if you are not a big drinker, I still recommend it.

大好きな「抹茶ミルク金時」も注文。甘いだけじゃなく、しっかりとお茶を感じる抹茶蜜は本格派。どちらもあっさりなので、練乳や白玉をトッピングするのがおすすめ。

I also ordered my favorite flavor, matcha and adzuki. It's not only sweet, but also has a refined, mature taste! Everything is very light so I recommend ordering condensed milk and mochi as toppings.

民家をリフォームしたという店内は、アットホームな雰囲気。お店に来たというより、地元の友達のおうちに遊びに来たみたい！

The shop was originally a residential home, so the atmosphere is nice and cozy. It feels like visiting your friend's house.

帰りに鵠沼海岸をお散歩したよ。やっぱり海は気持ちいい〜！都内から１時間くらいで来られるので、夏のプチトリップにぜひ。

I took a walk on Kugenuma Beach on my way home. The sea breeze felt great! It only takes an hour from the center of Tokyo so it's perfect for mini summer trip.
