モデル・斉藤アリスが英語と日本語で東京を案内！ 青山の隠れ家カフェ〈CONNEL COFFEE〉へ。緑溢れる眺望はまるで都会のオアシス。／Alice’s TOKYO Walk vol.42 LEARN 2019.09.20

今日やってきたのは大人の街・赤坂。青山一丁目駅と赤坂見附駅のちょうど真ん中、青山通り沿いに赤坂御所の緑を全身で堪能できるカフェがあるんです。

I went to the business district, Akasaka. This café is directly between Aoyama Itchome Station and Akasaka Mitsuke Station, along Aoyama Street in front of Akasaka Palace.

ガラス張りのビルの2階にあるカフェは、エントランスもガラスの扉。ちょっと近未来的で入り口からわくわく！

Passing through the entrance of an all-glass façade up to the second floor, I feel excited by the futuristic atmosphere.

反対側から見たカフェの図。宙に浮いたように突き出したカフェには、4方向すべてから日光が降り注ぎます。私がどこにいるか分かるかな？

This is the café from the opposite side. The café appears to float in mid-air and light pours in from all four sides. Can you find me?

カフェからの眺め。階段を上がったところにあるテーブル席が見えます（1枚目の写真の所）。黒い天井に緑が反射して、空間全体がキラキラ〜と輝いています。

This is the view of the upstairs table seats from the café. The glossy black ceiling reflects the greenery and makes the café space sparkle.

背後に見えるのは、高橋是清翁公園。窓から取り込んだ緑と日光は、黒塗りの天井と鏡張りの壁に反射して何倍にも広がります。こんなに全身で緑を感じられる場所って他に知らない！

Behind me is Takahashi Korekiyo Memorial Park. The shiny paint and mirrored walls make the light bounce around the room. I don’t know another place where I can feel so much nature and sunlight caressing my whole body.

お店ではこのカフェを運営しているデザインオフィス〈nendo〉のグラスやお皿が売られていました。内装デザインも自ら手がけているそうで、ガラスをうまく使った空間美に納得！

The design company that runs this café, nendo, also sells glass and ceramic tableware here. That’s why the glass used to make this space is so beautiful.

11：45〜14：30までは毎日ランチビュッフェを提供中。野菜やパンのほかに、日替わりでお肉やお魚のメイン料理が楽しめます。この日は枝豆ごはんもありましたよ。

Lunch buffet starts from 11：45 am until 2 pm every day. They have vegetables, bread, and a daily special main dish of meat or fish. When I visited, I had soybean rice.
